What is Safe Passage?
Safe Passage is designed to increase safety amongst students and deter future occurrences as they travel to and from school.
Baltimore City Safe Passage Program was launched by Mayor Brandon M. Scott to increase safety amongst students as they travel to and from school.
The Safe Passage program is a citywide initiative lead by the Mayor’s Office of Children and Family Success (MOCFS). Designed to reduce risks for students during their commute, particularly those who walk to school, this program provides designated routes with increased supervision and support, including trained safety personnel stationed along the routes. The goal is to ensure that students can safely navigate their way to and from school without fear or danger.
